Good Timing

Our deck yesterday.

Our deck today.

It was a good thing we did some final yard clean up and took down the gazebo fabric.

Fall Clean-up and Fun

Today we tried to do another leaf removal. This will make the third day (not in a row). Andy created quite a large pile and played with Rowan. She had a good time, but did not like it when he buried himself completely. She cried because she couldn't see Daddy.

Enjoying the moment.

We got a lot more weeds and debris picked up too. Finally, our deck is cleaned off. No more toys, potted plants....even the fabric on the gazebo was taken off and stored. While taking down the canvas, Andy discovered about 100 hornets in the folds of the fabric. Some were really big but they were all very slow. I think they all got stomped. I'm glad I didn't have the job of taking down the canvas!

Harvey still loves to sit with Daddy and watch some shows on TV.

This happened to be a night where we all watched a "Rock Band" competition. Rowan danced along to the pretend bands.

Happy Birthday Rowan and Andy

This October, Rowan celebrated her 3rd birthday and Andy celebrated his 32 birthday. We had family over at our house. The kids were very excited to see their grandparents and cousins again.

Rowan got a bean bag from her mom and dad. She loves it and has quite a lot of fun playing with it and sitting in it. It has become a hit with Harvey too. I guess I know what to get him for Christmas now.

Rowan and Dad got a Backyardigans cake this year. They each got to blow out candles on their sides of the cake. The Backyardigans is one of Rowan's favorite shows.

Another great gift was given by Dad. Rowan looooves to play with her Play Doh!

Miss Rowan with all of her gifts.

Since there wasn't a particular theme for this birthday party, Rowan ended up with a Backyardigans cake & balloon, Hello Kitty dinnerware, and Dora the Explorer stickers/tattoos. The guys got to use pirate dinnerware. It was a great opportunity for mom to use up the party supplies she had accumulated over the past couple years.
Rowan would like to thank everyone that helped to make her birthday so special. She got many great gifts and can't wait to turn 4!

*Sorry the photos took a while to post. I needed to obtain them from my parents and then scan them in 2 at a time.

Happy 4th Anniversary!

On this day, 4 years ago, Andy and I got married.

It's interesting to see what all we've been through in just 4 years. Andy's employment faced challenges and we have had the birthing experience of 2 children. Upon entering year 4, we are already preparing for baby number 3. Needless to say, we've been keeping busy since we said our vows.
Who knows what fate will present us with. All I know is that I've enjoyed standing next to Andy - facing each day together.

Yearbook Photos

I have been having quite a lot of fun at the site www.yearbookyourself.com
Check out all the fun photos I've created!

I kind of think I look like my mom in this picture.

This is my dad if he would time travel back to 1976. Lookin' good Dad!

And last, but not least, my studly husband...had he been in high school 1976. Jack must have started a fashion trend as it looks like Andy copied his hairstyle!

New Cute Stuff

Harvey is my little climber. I happened to be at the right place at the right moment when this picture was taken. The camera was within arm's reach when I turned to find Harvey sitting on the activity table. He saw me reach for the camera and gave the biggest smile. He must have gotten up by stepping on the overturned train (seen in the photo).

Rowan is working on her drawing. I was out of the room (probably checking email) and came back to find all of these little faces drawn on her easel paper. I thought it was so cute and momentous that I had to take a photo. Not too much later, that paper was scribbled on and shredded by Rowan and Harvey.

Another masterpiece by Rowan. She drew this one on the magna doodle and said that it was for daddy. I set it by his computer so he would see it when he got home from work. I also took a picture of this one since I feared somehow it would get erased or scribbled on. But he got to see it and was very proud of his little artist.
